For over 25 years, Dr. Neal Reynolds‘ vast skill and experience has helped him successfully treat thousands of patients. The Vein Clinic offers the most advanced equipment to keep up to date with the latest, most effective treatment protocols. Using leading-edge, minimally invasive methods, Dr. Reynolds and his team provide quick, convenient, in-office treatments for varicose veins and spider veins. Our treatments provide excellent results with virtually no discomfort or downtime.
Varicose veins are visibly swollen and twisted veins in the leg. These veins form as a result of diseased veins having weakened walls and valves. Veins can become weakened as a result of lifestyle habits or a family history of varicose veins. When the veins are weak they are unable to return blood to the heart effectively, causing the varicose vein. In addition to cosmetic concerns, varicose veins can cause medical concerns such as pain, fatigue, and swelling. At The Vein Clinic, Dr. Reynolds offers VenaSeal, ClosureFast and ambulatory phlebectomy to treat varicose veins.
VenaSeal is a medical adhesive made of Cyanoacrylate that closes veins. Similar to other ablation procedures, Dr, Reynolds inserts a catheter in the vein through a small incision. Then, small amounts of the adhesive are distributed. Patients typically do not receive any anesthesia and can immediately return to their normal daily activities. In addition, patients are not required to wear compression stockings. After the procedure, your body will work on absorbing the closed vein.
“My experience with Dr. Reynolds and The Vein Clinic was excellent. He knew exactly how to treat my varicose veins. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.” – G.B.
ClosureFast is a procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to treat varicose veins. The ClosureFast catheter produces heat which causes the veins to shrink and collapse. This procedure is minimally invasive and does not require any recovery. In addition, patients receive a local anesthetic so there should be no discomfort during the procedure.
Unlike other venous procedures, the ambulatory phlebectomy procedure removes varicose veins entirely. Dr. Reynolds performs this outpatient procedure while the patient is under local anesthetic to ensure there is no pain during treatment. Through a series of tiny incisions, a surgical hook pulls the vein out of the leg. This process is repeated down the length of the vein until the entire vein is removed. While patients can experience some swelling and bruising they should be able to return to work the following day.
Spider veins are small blood vessels that are visible below the skin’s surface. These thread-like veins can be unattractive, as well as cause itching and burning. Unfortunately, similar to other venous disorders, spider veins do not resolve themselves over time. Therefore, if left untreated, spider veins will likely get worse. At The Vein Clinic, Dr. Reynolds offers Sclerotherapy to treat spider veins.
“Friendly and courteous staff. Dr. Reynolds and his assistants are very professional and the results of their treatments have gave me much relief from pain and discomfort. I would highly recommend THE VEIN CLINIC.” – J.E.
Sclerotherapy is a series of injections that work to remove spider veins. Dr. Reynolds performs this non-surgical, minimally-invasive vein treatment in our office. Sclerotherapy takes about 30 minutes in which a sclerosing agent is injected. The solution causes an irritation within the vein wall and results in shrinkage. Sclerotherapy can resolve not only cosmetic concerns but medical concerns such as cramping, swelling, pain, and discomfort.
