Will exercising cause more issues?
Is exercising going to create more varicose vein and spider vein issues? Some people believe exercising could make varicose veins worse. This is not true. Exercise improves the blood circulation through your legs. The best and most efficient is exercising the lower calf muscles. Swimming, walking,bicycling, jogging and step aerobics. If you do something from this list regularly, this is already varicose vein prevention.
What can I do besides exercise?
If you already have varicose veins, resting after these exercises is recommended. Elevating the legs about 6 to 12 inches above the heart can provide the best rest for your legs.
